Before running the self-clean feature, allow the oven to cool, wipe away loose soils/debris or heavy spills and remove the racks and all other accessories from the oven. Set the oven for the maximum self-clean time if the oven is badly soiled.
Use hot, soapy water or a mild cleaner and a nonabrasive sponge. Only use mild cleaners such as Soft Scrub, Bon-Ami or Ajax. Rub lightly with nonabrasive sponge, rinse thoroughly to remove all cleaning product residue and dry with a soft cloth. If food has burned onto the oven and is difficult to remove, use a mild cleaner with an SOS or Brolo pad and rub gently. The Ajax, SOS pad and the Brolo pad may scratch the porcelain in the oven interior. This does not affect oven performance.
No. We do not recommend using chemical cleaners in self-cleaning ovens. The porcelain surface is smooth and chemical cleaners may cause surface damage.
No. We do not recommend oven cleaners because they can remain on the oven porcelain after being wiped off and can emit odors during cooking.
Wipe off acidic foods (e.g., citrus juices, tomatoes, rhubarb, vinegar, alcohol or milk) immediately so they do not bake onto the porcelain the next time you use the oven. Over a period of time, fine, hair-like lines may appear on the porcelain. This does not affect oven performance.
No. You can only use the self-clean feature one oven at a time.
Use hot, soapy water on a non-abrasive sponge. Squeeze most of the water out before wiping. Rinse the glass and dry.

Stains can occur from liquid spills. Always clean up any liquid spills in the oven. Wipe with a damp cloth and then a dry cloth to prevent stains. The enamel can also discolor over time. This is normal and will not affect the oven's operation.

Clean stainless steel areas by using mild, soapy water with a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Rinse with water and wipe dry to avoid watermarks. Do not use cleaning agents that are abrasive or contain chlorine since both are corrosive to stainless steel. For added shine, apply stainless steel conditioner and wipe off excess with a soft cloth.
Warning: Stainless steel conditioners and cleaners can have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Do not apply stainless steel conditioners and cleaners to control labels, logos, or black stainless steel.

Usage & Operation
There are several solutions to this problem:
- Oven may not be plugged in. Check to see if it is plugged in.
- Power may not be flowing to the socket. Check if electricity is present at the outlet in question by using another small object that runs on electricity (e.g., hairdryer). If electricity is not present, consult an electrician.
- The fuse may have blown or the circuit breaker may have tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
To check if the socket functions, plug in other electrical devices and see if they work. If the socket does not function, check whether the residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) or the domestic fuse for the electric circuit has tripped. The main fuse and residual-current-operated circuit-breaker (FI) are for your safety and respond if there has been an overload or short-circuit in the electric circuit. Check whether other appliances in the electric circuit have caused an overload. If required, contact an electrician.
The door did not close properly. Open and make sure to close the door properly. Check to see if any food remnants or foreign objects are jammed in the door. If there are, remove them so the door can close properly.

"Be sure the control surface is clean and dry. Touch the center of the touch key using the flat part of your finger.
If only parts of the display/controls are not working or missing, turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and wait five minutes. Turn the circuit breaker back on and the oven should reset itself and be operable. If this does not solve the problem, please schedule a service visit. If the whole display is not working, open the oven door and see if the oven lights are working or not. If the lights are working, please schedule a service visit .
If the lights are not working - turn the circuit breaker off, wait 5 minutes, and then turn it back on. If the display still does not work after turning the circuit breaker back on, schedule a service visit .

Replace or reinsert the light bulb if loose or defective. Use gloves or a small wash cloth when handling the light bulb. Touching it with your fingers may deposit oils on it and cause it to burn out prematurely.

Make sure there is nothing blocking the oven door. Check if the hinge is bent.

This is normal for new ovens and will disappear after several uses. You can also use the self-clean cycle to remove the smell more quickly.
Yes, ovens have factory oils and that will burn off. Rid oils faster by putting the oven on bake for 15 more minutes or by wiping oven with hot sudsy water before use.
When fatty foods are cooked in the oven (e.g., roasts), a certain amount of fat will be deposited onto the grill element. Leave the oven door closed during the oven warm-up process (5 to 10 minutes) and by that time most of the smoke should have dissipated.
The fan may run even after the oven is off and this is normal. It will switch off automatically once the oven has cooled down.

The soft-close door hinges contain a damping fluid that is affected by temperature. If the oven is in a cold environment, the door will close slower than it will in a warmer environment. If the oven is in a warmer environment, the door will close faster.
The AUTO SHUT-OFF was activated because the oven was used for a very long time without the settings being changed. Press STOP and restart if required.

It is normal to see or feel steam or warm air escaping from the oven vent. Do not block the vent.
This may be due to an error in the baking technique (human error) or the oven may not be performing optimally. Performing the Biscuit/Cookie Bake Test will let you know if the cause is human error or oven error. We use this test to help develop our ovens:
1. Purchase Pillsbury Grands Biscuits or Pillsbury Sugar Cookies. They are “unbaked” and can be found in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores.
2. Use a shiny, aluminum cookie sheet that is 12 x 15” or larger.
3. Follow package instructions for laying the biscuits/cookies out on the cookie sheet. Failure to follow package recommended spacing will negatively affect bake results.
4. Do not put the cookie sheets into the oven until PREHEAT is finished.
5. If baking one cookie sheet, place it on rack position 3. If baking two cookie sheets at once, place them on rack positions 2 and 4.
6. Follow package instructions for baking time.
7. Do not open the oven door once the biscuits/cookies have been put into the oven. Use the oven light and window to view the biscuits/cookies if you wish.
8. At the minimum baking time listed on the package, check the baking results through the window. If the biscuits/cookies are not baked to satisfaction, check them every minute and allow them to bake more until fully baked or until the maximum baking time listed on the package has been reached, whichever happens first.
9. If the biscuits/cookies turn out well during the baking times noted on the package – this means the oven is performing properly and does not need a service visit.
10. If the biscuits/cookies turn out overdone or underdone during the baking times noted on the package – this means the oven needs to be checked by an authorized Thermador servicer. Please schedule a service visit .

To obtain even browning and better baking results, make sure the baking pan is in the middle of the rack and the oven door is completely closed. Uneven browning can also occur if the temperature is too high so lower if needed. Please refer to your owner's manual to learn more baking instructions.
The cooking time was set too long. Set a shorter cooking time or select a lower temperature. To retain moisture in the food, cover the food or add more liquid.
Use a portable meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It is safe to serve when it reads 165 degrees in the stuffing or 175 degrees in the turkey thigh. Remove the turkey from the oven and allow it to stand covered with foil for 15 - 20 minutes before taking the final reading.

An oven that has a fan, which constantly recirculates the heated air has "Convection" mode. This moving air strips away the natural thermal barriers that surround food and allows the heat to start cooking sooner. It dries the food's outside surface, while the inside remains moist.

The Steam and Convection Oven features a 1.4 quart water tank that needs to be filled with tap water and inserted into the oven prior to use.
When the oven is turned on to Steam or Combination Mode, the water flows through a small water pipe into a reservoir located at the bottom of the oven cavity. There, it is heated up via an electric element that sits below the reservoir.
After the water reaches the boiling point of 212°F it starts to generate steam in the cavity.
Steam carries latent energy that is released as soon as it encounters cooler food, so the energy from the steam is transported directly to the food. Because the density of steam is higher compared to hot air, it is also possible to cook at lower temperatures compared to normal cooking. (For example, compare sitting in a normal sauna at a temperature of 120°F to sitting in a steam sauna at 120°F – the steam sauna will feel much hotter. That physical phenomenon is used in steam cooking.)
The overall advantages of cooking with steam include:
- Better browning of meat.
- No more dried out food.
- Vegetables keep more vitamins and all nutrients.
- Reheats food better than a microwave, as the food retains moisture, flavor and texture.
No, the steam oven is a non-plumbed version that doesn’t need to be connected to the water line.
The amperage for the oven's circuit may not be correct. Check the data plate for the correct number of amps required and be sure the amps are the same on the house circuit.
Another possible cause might be that there is a blockage in the vent opening. Please check the vent opening and remove anything that might be blocking it.
This is normal. At temperatures above 248°F (120°C), the steam will become invisible.
Appliance is not calibrated. Refer to your owner's manual to learn how to calibrate your oven.
Check whether the water tank is completely inserted. If the water tank is inserted correctly, please reset the appliance to the factory settings. Refer to your owner’s manual to learn how to do this. Repeat the initial use settings and the calibration.
Automatic calibration values are not optimal so you will have to reset the appliance to its factory settings. Please refer to your owner's manual for to learn how to reset your combi-steam oven to its factory settings.
The water tank may not be inserted correctly so check to see if it is properly inserted. If it is, there may be something wrong with the detection system and you will have to schedule a service visit to get this fixed.
In general, the cooking time decreases by a quarter. For example, if it takes a chicken 1 hour to roast in a traditional oven, it will take about 45 minutes in a steam convection oven. Also, the denser the food, the quicker it will cook. This means that denser foods like casseroles and turkeys will cook even faster. To keep track of internal food temperatures, use a meat thermometer.
Condensation is normal since moisture will evaporate from the food during the cooking process. When foods with a high moisture content are prepared, increased condensation will accumulate in the cooking compartment or inner pane of the door.
The appliance ventilation system is not working or the appliance door is not sealed properly. Check the installation and consult the installation instructions. Only well-ventilated appliances can remove moisture properly. Check whether the door seal is damaged or jammed.
A large variety of foods can be cooked in the steam convection oven. This includes vegetables, roasted chicken and meats, seafood, hard-cooked eggs, bread, and pastries. Steam cooking retains vitamins and minerals better than traditional cooking.

Gliding/telescopic racks extend out fully with ball bearing rack guides and will not tip over when fully extended. This allows people to safely handle heavy dishes without the risk of tipping over.
For Apple products, iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices with iOS 8.0 or higher are compatible. For Androids, smartphone and tablets with Android 4.1 or higher are compatible. Unfortunately, Windows devices are not compatible with Home Connect.
Check whether the appliance has a Home Connect function. Is Wi-Fi or Home Connect available in the menu of the appliance? Is the appliance connected and switched on?
There is one Super User per appliance. This is the user who was the first to connect the appliance with their Home Connect app. If an appliance is deleted by the Super User from their Home Connect app, the appliance will also be deleted from all other users in their Home Connect app. The standard user can only delete an appliance from his user account. Connect the appliance with the Home Connect app again.
Close the app and restart it. If it still does not work, update or re-install the app.
Check to see if the appliance is connected to the internet. If the appliance is already connected, check if the remote function is activated on the appliance and make sure the internet speed is a minimum of 2 Mbit/second (DSL, Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.).
If you use additional programs (e.g., Battery Optimizer, System Tools, and Software Manager), they may influence the notification function. Please re-install the Home Connect app after a system update of your smartphone/tablet.
This information is required to clear the appliance in the firewall. Go to the settings of your appliance. Select the menu item HOME CONNECT. If you are in the Home Connect menu, you can use the APPLIANCE INFO button to display the current IP address and the MAC address of the appliance.
Resetting an appliance removes it from the Home Connect app. Please connect the appliance with the internet router again and re-register in the Home Connect app.
Child lock needs to be switched off in the Home Connect app or on the appliance. Please refer to your owner's manual to learn how to deactivate the child lock on the appliance or on the app.

This may happen if there is no Wi-Fi reception on an appliance or if the router has no Wi-Fi function. If the router has the Wi-Fi function, switch on the Wi-Fi on the appliance via menu control and on the router. If the range is insufficient, use a Wi-Fi repeater or Powerline adapter with the Wi-Fi function to amplify the signal.
The WPS function on router may be disabled or the WPS button (automatic login) is not available. Check the operating instructions of the router to find out whether WPS is supported and if so, how to activate it. If WPS is not supported by the router, use the manual connection mode in the Home Connect menu.
Make sure to switch on the Wi-Fi on the appliance using the menu and on the router. Boost the Wi-Fi signal with a Wi-Fi repeater or use Power Line interface (dLAN) with the Wi-Fi function.
There are several solutions for this problem.
• Wi-Fi has been switched off on the router. If so, turn the Wi-Fi on.
• The Wi-Fi password has been changed on the router and not on the appliance. Make sure to enter the correct password.
• A new router has been installed. Switch on the Wi-Fi on the router and connect the appliance with the router again.
A maximum of 8 smartphones/tablets can be connected with the appliance via Wi-Fi in the home. Check whether 8 smartphones/tablets are already connected via Wi-Fi in the home.
Re-register and wait for an email confirmation. Follow the instructions in the email and confirm your login by clicking on the link in the email. Make sure there is no interruption to your internet connection when you are registering.
Please make sure your email is in the following format: email@example.com. If the email has already been registered, please use a different email. If there is already a Home Connect ID with your email address, check your mailbox to see if you already have an activation email.

The password does not comply with the requirements. It must be at least 8 characters long and have at least 1 digit, 1 letter, and 1 special character. The first 3 characters must also be different from each other.
Start the Home Connect app on your device. On the login screen, press FORGOTTEN PASSWORD and enter your Home Connect ID (email address). You will receive an email with a new password. This password must be changed when you log in with it for the first time.
