Maintain the brilliance and functionality of your Thermador oven with these cleaning tips. This will help keep your oven working efficiently so you can continue to create delicious meals and lasting memories.

Please do NOT use abrasive cleaners and cloths to clean any part of the oven.

How to Clean Your Oven's Exterior

Glass Surfaces- Wash the glass with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth. You can also spray a glass cleaner on a paper towel and wipe down the glass.

Stainless Steel Surfaces - To care for your stainless steel, watch the instructional video or follow instructions. Use mild soapy water and a soft cloth and wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Rinse with water and wipe dry to avoid watermarks. Do not use cleaners that are abrasive or contain chlorine since both are corrosive to stainless steel. For added shine, apply a stainless conditioner and wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.

Stainless steel conditioners and cleaners can have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Do not apply stainless steel conditioners and cleaners to control markings, labels, logos, black or smudge-proof stainless steel, and appliance interiors.

How to Clean Your Oven’s Interior

Use the self-cleaning feature to clean the interior. During self-cleaning, remnants from roasting, broiling, or baking are burned off. Watch our video for a guided tutorial on prepping your oven for self-cleaning.

Review your owner’s manual to learn how to activate the self-cleaning feature for your oven. Misplaced your manual? Click on the “Find Your Owner’s Manual” link below.

Do NOT block the oven vents during the self-cleaning cycle. Make sure the door locks during the beginning of the cycle and cannot be opened.

Once the self-cleaning cycle has finished and the oven has completely cooled, wipe up all the ashes from the oven cavity. The door seals and inside of the oven door may need additional cleaning. If they do, wipe them with warm, mild soapy water and dry thoroughly. Your oven is now ready to use.

How to Clean Your Oven Racks & Accessories

The following accessories CANNOT be cleaned with the self-cleaning feature. They should be removed from the oven before activating the self-cleaning feature.

Telescopic and Flat Racks – Wash the racks by hand with hot, soapy water. Please do NOT wash them in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Cleaning powders and soap-filled pads can also be used to clean the racks.

You will need to re-lubricate the racks when they no longer glide smoothly. For telescopic racks, use a high-temperature food-grade lubricant to re-lubricate the slides. For flat racks, wipe the edges with a small amount of vegetable oil. Then remove excess oil.

Broiler Pan and Tray – Wash both by hand with hot, soapy water or wash them in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Cleaning powders and soap-filled pads can also be used to clean the pan and tray.

Meat Probe – Wipe the probe with soapy water. Do NOT submerge in water or wash in the dishwasher.

Rotisserie – Wash with hot soapy water and clean with a dish cloth or brush. Do not soak or clean in the dishwasher.
