Watch the video for a guided tutorial or follow the steps below:

1. Turn on the Induction Cooktop.
2. Place the cookware on the Induction Cooktop.
3. The Induction Cooktop will detect the cookware. A circle symbol will appear on the display.
4. Touch the circle symbol.
5. You will now see the different power levels. Scroll to the desired power level.

PowerBoost® & PanBoost™

PowerBoost® - Enables you to quickly heat up large amounts of water at a temperature higher than the highest power level of the Induction Cooktop. We recommend using this to heat up large amounts of soup or stock.

Here is a useful tip for this feature:

  • To protect the internal components of the Induction Cooktop, this feature will switch off automatically if the Induction Cooktop gets too hot. This is normal.

PanBoost™ - Enables you to quickly heat up pans at a temperature higher than the highest power level of the Induction Cooktop. We recommend using this feature for searing steaks or grilling fish and vegetables.

Here are some useful tip(s) for this feature:

  • Do not preheat your cookware.
  • Use cookware with a fully flat base. Do not use cookware with a thin base.
  • Never leave empty cookware, oil, butter, or lard to heat up unattended.
  • Do not place a lid on the cookware. The lid will become too hot.

MoveMode™

This function lets you transfer the selected power level and the cooking time from one cooking position to another. We recommend using this if you are cooking with multiple pots and pans and need to move them around.

Watch the video to see this feature in action.

Here is a useful tip for this feature:

  • If you enable this feature for a cookware and then remove it or move it elsewhere on the Indcution Cooktop, the cooking position it was previously on will stop heating. The settings for the cooking position will be retained for 30 seconds.

MyZone™

The feature allows you to change the power level during cooking simply by moving the cookware backward or forward on the Induction Cooktop surface. Use when cooking foods that need quick temperature changes.

Watch the video to see this feature in action.

Here are some useful tips for this feature:

  • To increase the power level, move the cookware towards you.
  • To decrease the power level, move the cookware away from you.

TeppanyakiPro™/Flexible Cooking Zone

This feature enables you to divide the teppanyaki grilling area into two sections. This means that you can cook food on one section of the teppanyaki and keep food warm on the other. You can also use the entire area to cook food at the same power level.

Here is are useful tips for this feature:

  • If you do not see the TeppanyakiPro™ symbol on the Induction Cooktop display, the cookware may be too big. Use cookware that is smaller.
  • Always place the teppanyaki horizontally or vertically.

Purchase pans that can be used with this feature in the Thermador Accessories Store.

More Appliance Features

Cooking Sensor Mode

To use this feature, you will need to purchase our cooking sensor in the Thermador Accessories Store. Refer to your owner's manual for instructions on attaching the sensor to your cookware.

After attaching the cooking sensor to the outside of your cookware, the sensor will continuously measure the temperature of the cookware. This helps maintain the temperature so your food will not overheat and you won't have to constantly change the power level. The sensor will also transfer the temperature information of the cookware to your cooktop's control panel.

Here are some useful tip(s) for this feature:

  • Always keep the sensor window clean. Make sure to remove dirt oil splatters on a regular basis. You can clean it with a soft cloth or Q-tip.
  • Fill the pot so that the contents are higher inside than the outside placement of the sensor.
  • Do not remove the sensor from the pot during cooking.
  • Always cook with the lid on except when deep frying.
  • This feature will let you know when the water or oil has reached the optimal temperature for adding food.
