Pairing Thermador Appliances with Google Home
To ensure the best experience, confirm that your Thermador appliance is part of the Google Home compatible appliances lineup, which includes Ranges, Ovens, Dishwashers, and Coffee Machines.
Follow the steps to connect Google Home to your Thermador appliances:
Step 1: Install the Home Connect App
Download the Home Connect® app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Open the app and create an account or log in if you already have one.
Step 2: Pair your appliance

- If you haven’t already, download the Google Home app on your smartphone from the Google Play store or Apple App Store.
- Open the app and sign in with your existing Google or Gmail account or create a new one.
Step 4: Set up your Google Home account
1. Open the Google Home app and select the Favorites icon from the navigation panel.
2. Select the + Create Home button
3. Name your Home. i.e. ‘Michelle’s Home’. Tap Next.
4. Enable Google Home on the 'Choose your Favorites' screen. Tap Next.
Step 5: Connect your Thermador appliance(s) to Google Home
- Select the ‘Devices’ icon on the navigation panel.
- Tap the ‘Add Device’ button.
- Select “Works with Google Home”
- Search for Home Connect and log.
- Tap Approve and select Home.
- Select your device location, appliance and begin.
Voice Control
Just say, “Hey Google” for hands-free assistance in the kitchen and home. Combine commands: “Hey Google, turn the Oven on and turn the hood on.” Customize the verbiage of these commands in the Google Home app to your preferences. For example, “Hey Google, turn on my ‘magical’ Oven,” or “Turn on Kay's Oven.”

Coffee Machines

- “Hey Google, brew my coffee.”
- “Hey Google, make a cappuccino.”

- “Hey Google, clean the Coffee Machine.”
Thermador Coffee Machines do need to rinse after switching on in order to prepare a coffee, you need to wait until the appliance has finished rinsing and place your cup before coffee preparation can start.
Ovens
Using Google Home for Ovens, you can control your Oven without needing to touch a button. Preheat the Oven, adjust cooking temperatures, or set timers—all with your voice. Example Voice Commands:
- “Hey Google, preheat the Oven to 350 degrees.”
- “Hey Google, start the Oven on bake mode.”
- “Hey Google, how much time is left on the Oven timer?”
- “Hey Google, stop the Oven.”
- “Hey Google, set the Oven to broil.”
Dishwashers

Can I include Home Connect enabled appliances in routines for Google Home?
Absolutely! You can add voice commands to any routine.
Can I prepare my favorite coffee with a Google Routine?
Yes, you can basically. Unfortunately with most of the appliance models rinses after switching on. In order to prepare a coffee, you need to wait until the appliance has finished rinsing and place your cup before coffee preparation can start. With selected models, the rinsing can be disabled.
