Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge Open for Entries Through March 1, 2014
Designers, Builders, Architects Invited to Submit Their Grandest Thermador Kitchens for an Opportunity to Win Piece of $100,000 Prize Purse
IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2013) — Thermador, the American luxury kitchen appliance brand that offers real innovations for real cooks, is rewarding the best examples of inspiring kitchen design with the Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge. Thermador will give away $100,000 in prizes for the most stunning Thermador kitchens submitted by designers, builders, architects, remodelers and kitchen dealers that were completed in 2012 or 2013. The kitchens must feature Thermador appliances, and submissions must be entered by the March 1, 2014 contest deadline. Because Thermador wants to celebrate the most incredible kitchens designed over the two-year period, the number of entries that a single person or firm can submit is limitless.
“The Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge is our way of recognizing and rewarding the trade professionals who create innovative, luxury kitchens for culinary enthusiasts alongside our products,” said Zach Elkin, director, brand marketing, for Thermador. “We look forward to celebrating the magnificent kitchens that will continue to inspire real cooks for years to come.”
Following last year’s Kitchen Design Challenge, this year’s contest has expanded to include a larger prize purse, and more opportunities to win. The field of regional winners will be doubled to 16, and the contest has been opened to include design firms rather than only individual designers as in years past.
The 16 regional winners will consist of two from each of the contest’s six regions, and four from any region for best use of built-in refrigeration
Each of the 16 regional winners will receive a $2,500 cash prize and an expense-paid trip for two to Southern California to attend an exclusive award gala hosted at the Thermador Experience & Design Center
Five national winners will be selected from the 16: a winner and a runner-up in each of the contest’s design categories, as well as a national winner for best use of refrigeration
The five national winners will divide a grand prize package of $60,000 in prize money
Entries may only consist of kitchens featuring Thermador appliances and must have been completed in 2012 or 2013. The contest has no entry fee, and participants may visit http://www.thermador.com/designcontest2013/ to read the official rules and enter. Entry forms may also be downloaded from the Thermador website or obtained from local Thermador dealers.
The contest is open now through March 1, 2014. The winners will be announced June 30, 2014, with the awards event taking place in fall 2014.
