Thermador Announces New Kitchen Design Challenge in Celebration of The Brand's 100th Anniversary
IRVINE, Calif. (January 20, 2016) — Over the last century, American luxury kitchen appliance brand Thermador has continued to reimagine the possibilities for the kitchen by introducing innovative appliances that offer the finest in power, performance and style for culinary enthusiasts. As the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2016, Thermador is kicking off its third Kitchen Design Challenge to celebrate the incredibly talented designers at the forefront of today’s outstanding kitchen and home design. This contest recognizes the most inspiring luxury Thermador kitchens in the country, and – because this is a centennial celebration – this year’s Kitchen Design Challenge is the most exciting yet, with more prizes and opportunities for recognition.
“For a century, Thermador has been devoted to creating innovative appliances that provide ultimate performance for culinary enthusiasts – and we have been an integral part of how the design and function of the kitchen has evolved over the decades,” said Zach Elkin, director of brand marketing for Thermador. “Our commitment to the Kitchen Design Challenge enables us to celebrate the talented designers who utilize Thermador to bring the heart of the home to life for their clients with unique, personalized details – and inspire us by breaking convention and re-thinking what is possible for the kitchen.”
Any designer, builder, architect, or trade professional is encouraged to enter a Thermador kitchen that was completed from 2014-2016 for the opportunity to win a variety of prizes. All submissions must be entered by January 31, 2017. There is no limit on the number of entries submitted by a single person, team or company.
A total of 32 regional winners will be selected, and of these 24 will receive a $1,000 cash prize, while eight regional honorable mention winners will receive $500 for the best overall use of Thermador appliances in their kitchen design. All regional winners will also receive a trip for two to a Gala Celebration in 2017 to compete for national prizes. The national winners will be selected in the following categories:
