Anything Fried Rice

Versatile, family-friendly rice bowls that you can build from whatever you have on hand choose white or brown rice (or riced cauliflower), toss in a mix of fresh or frozen vegetables, and add your favorite protein. A simple sauce of soy, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar and a touch of sesame oil or chili turns ordinary ingredients into a satisfying meal; finish with green onions, herbs, sesame seeds or a drizzle of Sriracha for brightness. Ready in about 20–30 minutes, these bowls are perfect for weeknights, leftovers, or meal prep.

Ingredients

6 servings:

Rice:

Rice of Choice – White Rice, Brown Rice, Riced Cauliflower

Vegetables:

Any fresh or frozen vegetables, kale, green beans, bell peppers, zucchini, carrot, onion, kale, peas, snap peas, bean sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, bean sprouts or edamame.

Protein:

Chicken, steak, shrimp, fish, beef, pork, or tofu.

Sauce:

Soy sauce, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, hosin sauce, garlic, chili, chili garlic, lime, red pepper flakes or sesame oil.

Toppings:

Green onions, fresh herbs, sesame seeds, scallions or a drizzle of Sirracha.

Instructions

Step 1

Stir in any protein you have – shrimp, chicken, steak, tofu are all perfect additions for your fried rice!

Add a topping! Thinly sliced scallions, toasted sesame seeds or a drizzle of Sriracha can be a perfect addition.

Step 3

Don’t go too heavy on the sauce! Keep it light so that the flavors of the rice, veggies and protein truly shine – think a light golden brown in color.
