Crispy Parmesan Brussel Sprouts Bark

Cooking times will vary depending on the size of your Brussels sprouts. Monitor them to make sure they’re cooked to your preference and for the cheese to be crispy and crunchy.

Serves 4

• 1 pound Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and halved
• 3 Tablespoons olive oil, divided
• 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
• Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
• 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Pre-heat steam oven to 400°F on Steam Convection mode.

2. In a bowl combine 2 Tablespoons of olive oil, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

3. Add halved Brussels sprouts and toss to evenly coat with the marinade.

4. Lay parchment paper on the unperforated steam oven pan and lightly oil parchment paper.

5. Sprinkle grated cheese evenly in single layer over parchment sheet.

6. Press Brussels sprouts cut side down on cheese, making sure cheese sticks to the Brussels sprouts

7. Cook Brussels sprouts for about 20-25 minutes or until most of the cheese is dark golden brown and crispy and the Brussels are cooked to your liking.

8. Allow the Brussels sprouts to rest for about 3-5 minutes. When cool enough to handle, break the cheese bark/crust between the Brussels sprouts into desired serving pieces (single sprouts, 2-piece sections, 4-piece sections, etc.).
