From New York City to California, Thermador is celebrating exceptional design in 2018! There’s no better time than the present to revisit two of our favorite inspirational experiences so far this year – the Architectural Digest Design Show and House Beautiful’s Kitchen of the Year! From the stunning Thermador appliances housed in a vibrant New York vignette to the decadent designs of Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s striking Spanish estate, here are some of the highlights from coast to coast.

Coinciding with the start of the spring season, Thermador returned to the world’s ultimate design destination – New York City – to join fellow leading brands in a carefully curated presentation at the Architectural Digest Design Show. From furniture, accessories, lighting and art, to kitchen, bath and building projects, the show offers thousands of products to source and shop – both from independent makers and established manufacturers. This year, Thermador demonstrated a special selection of the 300 new products that were initially unveiled earlier in the year at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.

Brand new to the show floor was the ultra-innovative Freedom® Under Counter Refrigeration Collection, which boasts an assortment of versatile refrigeration, freezer and wine units for virtually any room of the home. Joining the impressive collection was a standout selection of our newest and most innovative appliances to date – including the Freedom® Induction Cooktop, Built-In Fully Automatic Coffee Machine, Masterpiece Series ovens and the Star-Sapphire™ Dishwasher. While the new products sparkled on the show floor, Thermador engaged with top designers, influencers and bloggers to celebrate the future of the kitchen and embark on a new culinary era.

Back on the west coast, steeped high in the hills of Hollywood, Thermador again partnered with House Beautiful for the 2018 Kitchen of the Year – which seamlessly blends cutting edge design, technology and innovation. The publication’s first-ever Hollywood home is that of prominent interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, a multi award-winning Los Angeles-based designer renowned for his range of styles and eclectic yet sophisticated interiors.

The true centerpiece of his stunning abode is a beautifully crafted – and boldly colored – kitchen.  It stands out in an already impressive collection of rooms and boasts a magnificent variety of Thermador appliances, from the custom hood to the bold range. Complete with terraced gardens, period sconces and floors and a foyer turret, the glamourous home is our perfect match!
