Ed Kellum & Son Appliance Company was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1948 by Ed Kellum. Ed noticed an immediate need for an appliance retailer in the Knox/Henderson area of Dallas and thus began selling major appliances. The store on Knox Street eventually grew out of the original location and moved for TVs and appliances to be under one roof. The marriage of electronics and appliance required a name change to what is currently known as Ed Kellum & Son Audio/Video and Appliance. The showroom moved to its current location in 1996 at 4533 Cole Ave in Dallas. Ed Kellum & Son Audio/Video & Appliance has been a long standing Dallas retail tradition serving 3rd and 4th generations of customers since 1948.
