This is one of the many cookie recipes that has been handed down from generation to generation in Roseann's Italian family. After losing her mom 8 years ago to a rare form of Parkinson's Disease, it makes her feel better to bake all her cookies at holiday time. It's a way to honor her and the traditions in her family.
3 Eggs (beat well)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Oil (vegetable or canola)
Juice of One Orange
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Lemon Extract
4 level teaspoons Baking Powder
4 to 5 Cups of Sifted Flour (dough should be tacky)
Glaze —Confection Sugar and Milk
Colored sugar crystals
Roll into small balls. Bake @ 350 for 15-20 minutes.
Cookies should be slightly golden on bottom and tops should be pale tan.
Confection Sugar and Milk. Should be thin.
Dip top of cookie in glaze then sprinkle with sugar crystals.
