This recipe is an updated version of Jackie's mother's original. She cuts yams after they have been cooked in the oven or on the stove and cooks them until they are al dente. She uses canned milk for a richer flavor!
Serves 6
Easy: Prep time is 40 minutes (includes cooking potatoes)
Tip: Put together just before baking
Ingredients:
5 medium Sweet Potatoes
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Brown Sugar
3 Tablespoon Flour
2 Tablespoon Butter
1 Cup Cream or Canned Milk
Mini Marshmallows
1. Cook sweet potatoes in the oven or on the stove (I cook mine al dente). Let them cool for 10 minutes. Skin them, slice and arrange in greased baking dish
2. Mix salt, brown sugar and flour and pour over potatoes. Dot the dish with butter
3. Pour canned milk over potatoes and dry material
4 Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
5. Add the marshmallows the last 10 minutes of baking
