Chocolate Almond Pudding

Chocolate Almond Pudding

The steam oven creates a moist and decadent dessert your family will love.

Serves 4

2 squares dark chocolate
1 slice of white bread
2 tbsp milk
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp sugar
3 egg yolks
⅓ cup ground almonds
3 egg whites
2 tbsp sugar
Optional: Whipped Cream

1. Melt the chocolate. Cut the crust off the bread.
2. Finely crumble the bread and mix together with the milk.
2. Grease small ramekins or custard cups with some of the butter and sprinkle with sugar.
3. Beat the remaining butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually stir in the egg yolks. Add the chocolate, breadcrumbs and almonds.
4. Whisk the egg whites with the sugar and fold into the mixture.
5. Fill the ramekins with the mixture until they are two thirds full and cover well with heatproof foil.
6. Place in the perforated cooking pan. Slide in the cooking pan at level 2 and steam at 210° F for 40-45 minutes.
7. Carefully turn them out and serve with lightly whipped cream.
