Chocolate Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookies


 





5 dozen

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups butter    
1 cup whole wheat flour       
1 tsp baking soda           
1 tsp salt                
3/4 cup sugar               
Chocolate frosting
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350º Convection. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks to cool completely, then frost.


Frosting

2 1-oz squares unsweetened       
     chocolate, melted                
½ cup sour cream
2 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted


Beat melted chocolate and sour cream until smooth and blended. Gradually beat in confectioners’ sugar until smooth and spreadable. Spread frosting over cookies.
