Last week, the much-anticipated delivery of our Thermador appliances arrived at our family home in Wichita, Kansas! The shipping company called and coordinated delivery day and time, and my parents were there at the house to accept the delivery. Not only were they on time, but they were courteous, careful and very thorough.

My family and I flew in a few days after the delivery to come and check out the appliances and to celebrate Easter with the family. While we couldn’t get the installation scheduled during the time I was there, I’m sure next Easter our cooking plans will be pretty darn magnificent!

The appliances arrived on wooden pallets and we’ll be installing them very soon. Oh, and by the way, the wheelbarrow wasn’t part of the delivery, we just had no place to put it!

We’ve got the Sapphire Dishwasher, Pro Harmony range, Professional Series Single Wall Oven and the brand new Steam and Convection Oven to install. The flat, smaller boxes are the trim kits that go with the ovens.

While I’m back in Florida as of this morning, I’ll be flying again to Wichita when the appliances get installed — there’s a bit of cabinetry work to be done for the Steam and Convection Oven to fit in the island, but everything else should be a very simple swap and install.

Late last night, my parents just arrived back home in Vegas and they’ve already received a call from the shipping company for their Thermador delivery. They’ve promised to share photos when their shipment arrives. Mom is just so excited about the Steam and Convection Oven – she’s already told me that will be the very first thing that gets unpacked and installed!
