Thermador, the iconic American appliance brand and leader in luxury cooking, is celebrating its milestone 100th anniversary this year with its most exciting Kitchen Design Challenge yet, offering over $110,000 in prizes and opportunities for recognition. The competition is open for entries through January 31, 2017 and architects, designers, builders and other trade professionals are encouraged to submit their finest kitchen designs featuring Thermador appliances to win.

Following the incredible success of past Kitchen Design Challenges, this year’s contest is bigger and better than ever in honor of the brand’s milestone 100-year anniversary. This year’s contest has been elevated to the next level to offer a more extensive prize purse as well as even more opportunities for participants to win and gain recognition. A grand total of 32 regional winners will be selected, and 24 will receive a cash prize of $1,000. Additionally, eight regional honorable mention winners will win $500 in cash. All regional winners will also receive a trip for two to a Gala Celebration in 2017 where they can compete for high value national prizes:

National Winners: Best Use of Thermador Refrigeration: The regional winner with the best use of Thermador built-in refrigeration will receive a grand prize of $10,000 cash. One second place winner will receive $5,000 cash.

National Winners: Contemporary/Modern: The regional winner with the best use of Thermador in a contemporary/modern kitchen design will receive a grand prize of $20,000 cash. One second place winner will receive $10,000 cash.

National Winners: Traditional/Transitional: The regional winner with the best use of Thermador in a traditional/transitional kitchen design will receive a grand prize of $20,000 cash. One second place winner will receive $10,000 cash.

National Winners: Designer's Choice: 2 regional winners, one in each of the design categories, will be selected by Gala Celebration attendees and will receive $3,500 cash.

All trade professionals are encouraged to enter their most spectacular Thermador kitchen, completed between 2014 and 2016, for a chance to win. There is no limit on the number of entries submitted by a team, company or a single person and all submissions must be entered by January 31, 2017.
