THERMADOR SETS NEW STANDARD FOR REFRIGERATION WITH ITS 2012 FREEDOM® COLLECTION

The luxury appliance brand unveils more than 100 innovations and technical improvements to its Freedom built-in refrigeration line

IRVINE, Calif.  (Jan. 5, 2012)Thermador (http://www.thermador.com/) enters the New Year bringing the culinary enthusiast its best refrigeration lineup to date. The luxury appliance brand that first introduced the built-in modular refrigeration concept today introduced more than 100 innovations and technical improvements to its 2012 Freedom® Collection of fresh food and freezer columns, wine columns and bottom-freezer refrigerators.

To keep pace with today’s most discerning culinary enthusiasts, the Freedom Collection has been rethought, reengineered and refined to make the 2012 Thermador refrigeration line the highest quality and most comprehensive line-up in the luxury appliance category. Product improvement highlights include: ultra-bright LED theatre sidewall lighting with automatic dimming; the industry’s first full-width, flexible ice drawer with 11.45-pound capacity; all stainless steel exterior ice and water dispensers; convenient full-extension drawers and oversized freezer baskets; full-extension wine racks with exotic hardwood; and 3-D panel adjustability for the ultra-flush installation.

“The 2012 Freedom Collection represents a substantial commitment by Thermador from a product development and manufacturing standpoint with the goal of becoming the luxury appliance category leader in refrigeration, and we are excited to announce that we have delivered on that goal,” said Zach Elkin, director of brand marketing for Thermador. “Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the cooking convenience and versatility of placing Thermador fresh food, freezer and wine columns anywhere in their kitchen, and trust that the new Freedom Collection represents a new standard in quality, design, performance and reliability.”

With more than 20 customizable models, the Thermador Freedom Collection represents the largest true-flush design refrigeration portfolio in America, offering the widest array of kitchen design options.

“One of the key technical improvements to the new Freedom line is the new 3-D panel adjustability feature that offers the most flexibility in the market,” adds Thomas Staebler, senior product manager of Thermador. “It allows the refrigerator panel to be adjusted horizontally, vertically, forward and backward for an ultra-flush installation and seamless look in the kitchen.”
